EHealth Names Lincoln Financial CFO: Personnel Moves

Transamerica has a new regional vice president for retirement plans.

A web-based health insurance broker has hired an executive away from a big life insurer.

The web broker, eHealth, has named Christine Janofsky chief financial officer.

Janofsky has been a senior vice president and chief accounting officer at Lincoln Financial Group since 2016.

She has also worked in finance at and financial reporting at F&G and Nationwide.

Janofsky has a bachelor’s degree from Stevenson University. She holds the certified public accountant professional designation.

Transamerica

Transamerica Retirement has promoted Kent Colwell to vice president, TPA services, from 401(k) lead client executive.

Colwell will now focus on working with third-party administrators of workplace retirement plans in a region that includes Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah and Washington state.

He holds the qualified plan financial consultant, chartered retirement plans specialist and accredited investment fiduciary professional designations.

AmeriHealth Caritas

AmeriHealth Caritas, a Philadelphia-based health insurer that provides health coverage for people in Medicaid and other government health programs, has named William Keena to be market president for its AmeriHealth Caritas New Hampshire plan.

Keena has been vice president of operations at New Hampshire Healthy Families, an arm of Centene.

He has also worked at WellCare, Amerigroup and Cigna.

He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut. He served in the Army Reserve for seven years and graduated from the Army’s military intelligence officer, tactical/strategic intelligence officer and airborne schools.

NAIC

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners has hired Dorothy Andrews to be its senior behavioral data scientist and actuary.

Andrews analyzes insurance company rating models.

Previously, she was the chief behavioral data scientist at the Actuarial & Analytics Consortium.

Andrews has a bachelor’s degree from the University at Albany – State University of New York, a master’s degree in math from SUNY Albany and a master’s degree in math from Boston University.

She is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and an associate of the Society of Actuaries.
