Lori Hardwick Named Vestwell Chair

Hardwick, CEO of RedRock Strategic Partners, also sits on the boards of Cetera, Genstar and Orion.

Vestwell, a recordkeeping platform for retirement and investing programs, has named Lori Hardwick as its board chair and also appointed Mary Dent, the former CEO of Green Dot Bank, to its board of directors.

Hardwick, who joined Vestwell’s board in 2017, is set to assume “an expanded role in the firm, as the company continues its rapid growth and expansion in the workplace savings industry,” according to a statement. In this post, she will work closely with Vestwell CEO Aaron Schumm.

“I feel very privileged to have had a front-row seat from the very early days of Vestwell as an advisor, board director, and now as chair,” Hardwick said in the statement. “It’s been exciting to witness first hand the incredible work the team is doing as they are making a significant impact by closing the retirement gap in this country. Helping Aaron execute on his vision to reshape the industry is a true honor and I am excited and proud to take on the expanded role as chair.”

Hardwick, CEO of RedRock Strategic Partners, is also a member of the board of Cetera Financial Group, Genstar Capital and Orion Advisor Solutions. She was one of the original partners at Envestnet, as well as chief operating officer of BNY Mellon’s Pershing and director of RIA services for Nuveen Investments.

As for Dent, she was general counsel of SVB Financial Group before moving to Green Dot Bank. She also has served on the boards of firms including Aspiration, Green Dot Corp., and Commonwealth.
