Rockefeller Nabs $630M Wealth Team From UBS

San Antonio-based Adapt Partners is the 50th team to join Rockefeller’s Private Wealth Management network.

Rockefeller Capital Management has added a 50th advisory team to its Private Wealth Management network: San Antonio-based RIA Adapt Partners, which has about $630 million in assets under management and joins Rockefeller from UBS.

Adapt is the ninth team to join Rockefeller in 2021 and underscores the firm’s growth since it was formed in 2018 from the family office originated by John D. Rockefeller.

The latest addition comes one month after Rockefeller said it added Cincinnati-based Hambleton Fieler Group, its first Ohio-based private wealth team.

Adapt Partners is led by Londa Willems, vice president and client relationship manager, as well as private wealth advisors James Augustine, senior vice president; David Lloyd Jr., senior vice president; Charles Hoffman Jr., senior vice president; and Jeffrey Anderson, vice president. They will report to Michael Armondo, Rockefeller division director.

UBS declined to comment on losing Adapt to Rockefeller.

“This is an important and exciting time for Rockefeller,” Chris Randazzo, president of Private Wealth Management at Rockefeller, said in the announcement. “We are pleased with the progress of the thoughtful approach we are taking to expanding our business while continuing to prioritize the delivery of highly personalized and customized solutions for our clients.”

Rockefeller now has integrated and holistic financial services in 18 cities across five divisions in the U.S. and manages about $70 billion in client assets. In 2021, it has added offices in Cincinnati, San Antonio, Newport Beach and Denver.

“We remain committed to growing selectively and strategically, ensuring that the bespoke service approach on which our company is based remains our greatest strength and our highest priority,” according to Christopher Dupuy, national field director for Rockefeller’s private wealth business.

Rockefeller is led by Gregory Fleming, its CEO and president, who previously was president of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and Morgan Stanley Investment Management.
