F&G Cuts Virtual Ribbon at New Offices: Annuity Moves

F&G, a growing annuity issuer, has moved into new offices at 801 Grand Ave. in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. The company had been based in offices a few blocks away.

Chris Blunt, the company’s CEO, cut a virtual ribbon at the new offices recently as a representative from the Greater Des Moines Partnership looked on. The partnership representative presented Blunt with an award for the company’s contributions to Des Moines.

The company says it moved because an increase in annuity sales has led to an increase in the number of employees.

F&G says it has hired about 175 people this year.

The new offices take up about 80,000 square feet, in an existing building, with room for 500 workstations.

The offices feature a number of COVID-19-control features, including multiple hand sanitizing stations and common areas with no fabrics, F&G says.

USAA Life Adds Fixed Annuity

USAA Life Insurance Company has introduced an annuity contract, the three-year Fixed Guaranteed Growth Annuity contract.

The contract comes with a feature that lets purchasers use the account value, without a surrender charge, to pay for nursing home care, assisted living costs and home health care services.

USAA Life is an arm of USAA, an association for military personnel and veterans that’s based in San Antonio. The company is selling the new annuity directly through the USAA.com website and through USAA retirement income specialists.

USAA Life sells all of its life and annuity products, including the new annuity, to non-members as well as to members, the company says.

TruChoice to Team With Annexus

TruChoice Financial Group LLC, based in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, will be distributing products from Annexus, a company that designs indexed annuities and is based in Scottsdale, Arizona.
