Pension Group Seeks Female Retirement Professionals for Study

Taking 30 minutes to fill out a questionnaire could help with gender advancement in the retirement planning business, the nonprofit Women in Pensions Networks states.

In an effort to determine women’s experiences, attitudes and compensation in the retirement industry, the nonprofit Women in Pensions Network is sponsoring a study to determine women’s progress in the business. WiPN has partnered with research firm Escalent, and the study is co-sponsored by T.Rowe Price and Resources Investment Advisors.

To participate in the gender study, women in the retirement business need to fill out a form on the WiPN website that requests name, email and if you work in the retirement plan industry. WiPN states the survey should take 25-30 minutes and any information will be used only for research purposes in an effort to “advance the role of women in the workplace.”

“WiPN serves a need in the retirement plan industry to promote the professional growth and advancement of women, and we believe an in-depth exploration of how to bring more women into the field, what keeps women from joining or advancing, how different classes of women experience the industry, and how compensation differs or grows are prime areas of study,” says Daniella Moiseyev, WiPN president, who is chief marketing officer of PCS Retirement.

The organization’s board members are female executives from CUNA Mutual Group, John Hancock, JPMorgan and other firms specializing in the retirement area.

Results of the survey will be released in the first quarter of 2021.

WiPN is a nonprofit organization committed to the professional development of women in the retirement plan industry, and states it has more than 5,500 subscribers in the business. Founded in 2009, WiPN has more than 1,300 members and 32 regional chapters around the country.
