A division of Raymond James, Alex. Brown recently added a $280 million all-female advisor team from UBS. Marina Tudela, CPWA, Idalia Daguin and Gabriela Aguilar will join Alex. Brown’s Miami office.

The bilingual team originally hails from Venezuela.

“I’m excited to welcome [the new team] to the Alex. Brown family in our Brickell/Miami market, which is the epicenter for international business,” said Miami office manager Eric Termini.

The team comes with a deep background in financial services. Tudela spent her first eight years in the business at Smith Barney in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and the last 20 at UBS. She received a bachelor’s degree in marketing and international business from American University.

Daguin has been in the business 24 years, first at Citibank, where she worked on the banking side, and then UBS.

Aguilar has been in the business 19 years, beginning her career at Commerce Bank, then moving to Citibank and then to UBS. She has a law degree and doctorate from the Universidad Santa Maria in Caracas, Venezuela.

“We are three worldly, bilingual women from Venezuela who want to further lead the way for more women to get involved in the financial services industry,” said Tudela in a statement. “We came to Alex. Brown for its cultural reputation. Our values are aligned and we know our clients will feel right at home and valued, as we do. In addition, the technology is very sophisticated and a great fit for both older and newer generations. It’s been very helpful, especially in the midst of a pandemic.”
