Alex. Brown, part of Raymond James, says advisors Enrique Triana and Ricardo Kassin have joined it in Miami after leaving , where they collectively worked with $507 million of client assets.

“We continue to see interest from high-caliber client advisors like Enrique and Ricardo, who are looking for a firm with that unique combination of a boutique-feel and sophisticated service offered by Alex. Brown, backed by support from a strong firm like Raymond James,” said Haig Ariyan, president of Alex. Brown, in a statement.

Triana has managed $110 million in client assets at UBS and spent eight years there. He’s worked in financial services for 36 years, including several years with Citibank and BankBoston.

“During my due diligence, I was searching for the best firm for my clients, and what I’ve found in Alex. Brown exceeded my expectations,” according to Triana.

Kassin moved to Alex. Brown in late 2019; he’s worked with about $397 million and has about 32 years in financial services, specializing in serving ultra-high net worth clients in partnership with their lawyers and accountants. He spent 12 years at UBS.

Raymond James acquired Alex. Brown from Deutsche Bank in 2016. Its advisors are classified as employees, as are those with the Raymond James & Associates unit.

LPL Adds Securities America Team

David B. Winston of Winston Wealth Advisors and his team have moved to LPL Financial from Securities America, where they worked with $300 million in brokerage and advisory assets.

Winston launched the firm 25 years ago and has since bought two practices from retiring advisors. The group has offices in Lubbock, Texas, and Dallas.

“The pool of prospects at LPL is huge as we make plans to grow in Texas,” according to the veteran advisor.

Other financial professionals on the team are Dianna Dunlap, Ashley Hougland, Tara Kincaid and Jacob Winston, David’s son; Cassie Hererra provides client support.

“We look forward to using LPL’s technology platform and taking advantage of how easy it is to use,” Winston said in a statement. “Our clients will love having one access point to review their account holdings through a very friendly and attractive digital solution.”

The latest recruiting news for LPL comes just a few days after it added a group in Nebraska with about 100 affiliated advisors working with about $3 billion in assets from Securities America, which is part of the Advisor Group of independent broker-dealers.
