Jill Froment to Lead NAIC's Life and Annuities Committee
Jessica Altman will head the Health Insurance and Managed Care Committee.
Jill Froment is leading a panel of state insurance regulators that will help shape new state life insurance and annuity sales standards regulations, including any new sales standard regulations.
The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), a group for state insurance regulators, has picked Froment to be the 2020 chair of the group’s Life Insurance and Annuities Committee.

Froment is the director of the Ohio Department of Insurance. She was appointed to that post in 2017 by former Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who is a Republican.
Froment has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Ohio State and a law degree from Capital University.
The Life and Annuity Committee vice chair is Stephen Taylor, the insurance commissioner for the District of Columbia.
The Health Insurance and Managed Care Committee
The NAIC has picked Jessica Altman to be the chair of the group’s Health Insurance and Managed Care Committee.
Altman is the Pennsylvania insurance commissioner. She was appointed to that post by Gov. Tom Wolf, a Democrat.
Altman has a bachelor’s degree in policy analysis and management from Cornell and a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard.
The vice chair of the Health Insurance and Managed Care Committee is Lori Wing-Heier, the director of Alaska’s insurance division.
