National Life Group  says the riders available with the new TotalSecure whole life policy can help the policyholder get the benefits early if the policyholder suffers a critical illness, a terminal illness or a qualifying chronic illness..

The Montpelier, Vermont-based company is writing the policy through is National Life Insurance Company and Life Insurance Company of the Southwest units.

The issue age range is 0 to 85, according to a product form filed in the District of Columbia.

The death benefit range is from $2,000 to $1 million.
