Commonwealth Scores a Workplace Accolade

Tech magazine Computerworld ranks Commonwealth Financial the fifth best place to work for IT professionals.

Once again, Computerworld has named Commonwealth Financial Network as one of the best places to work in IT. This is the 12th year in a row the RIA/BD has been on the Computerworld list, this year ranked No. 5 among small organizations (less than 1,000 employees), and one of the best places to work in the New England region.

The firm also was ranked eighth nationwide for career development and 10th for training.

Computerworld annually ranks the top 100 places to work for technology professionals, looking at benefits, career development, training and retention. IT worker responses to a questionnaire are an important part of the ranking process.

Commonwealth has more than 250 IT workers on its staff, servicing its staff and 1,800 affiliated advisors, said Wayne Bloom, CEO.

“We consider our technology a top priority and a competitive advantage, and we take great pride in maintaining this annual recognition that speaks to our commitment and demonstrated success,” Bloom said in a statement.

Founded in 1979, Commonwealth Financial Network is the nation’s largest privately held RIA/independent BD.
