Top Portfolio Products: Barclays Moves ETNs to Nasdaq

New products and changes introduced over the last week include a transfer of 10 iPath ETNs by Barclays and an ETF creation and redemption service from Bloomberg.

Also, XY Planning Network announced the expansion of its turnkey and compliance services.

Here are the latest developments of interest to advisors:

1) Barclays Transfers 10 iPath ETNs

Barclays Bank PLC has transferred 10 iPath exchange-traded notes (ETNs) from the NYSE Arca to Nasdaq. They will be traded as a designated security.

The ETNs and their exchange/indicative value ticker symbols are as follows: iPath US Treasury 5-year Bull ETN (DFVL); iPath US Treasury 5-year Bear ETN (DFVS); iPath US Treasury Long Bond Bull ETN (DLBL); iPath US Treasury Long Bond Bear ETN (DLBS); iPath US Treasury 2-year Bull ETN (DTUL); iPath US Treasury 2-year Bear ETN (DTUS); iPath US Treasury 10-year Bull ETN (DTYL); iPath US Treasury 10-year Bear ETN (DTYS); iPath US Treasury Flattener ETN (FLAT); and iPath US Treasury Steepener ETN (STPP).

2) Bloomberg Offers ETF Basket Tool

Bloomberg has announced the Bloomberg Fixed Income ETF Basket Tool, which further automates the workflow and construction of fixed income ETFs.

State Street Global Advisors is the first ETF provider to use the tool, which incorporates the SSGA criteria into functionality from across the Bloomberg terminal, including Bloomberg’s Trading Solutions Order Execution (TSOX), Portfolio Analytics and Risk (PORT) and Fixed Income Trading (FIT) solutions. The result is a solution for clients of SSGA to automate the process of creating and redeeming baskets of fixed income ETFs.

3) XY Planning Network Announces Expansion of Services

XY Planning Network has announced the expansion of its turnkey compliance services and resources for young advisors starting and running their own financial planning RIAs focused on Gen X and Gen Y clients.

The new solution includes a complete new-RIA-registration package for advisors launching a new RIA (including completing Form ADV, state registrations, and more) and ongoing compliance support and tools for existing state-registered RIAs.
