The Utah Insurance Department says a preliminary analysis of exchange menus says competition should be strong.
Utah is expecting to attract six carriers to the individual exchange, which will be run by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
The list of individual carriers includes Humana and Molina.
At the Small Business Health Options Program exchange, UnitedHealth is one of the three carriers.
In Salt Lake City, a 27-year-old holder of a moderate, silver level of coverage could pay a rate from $162 to $255.
In the SHOP market, silver coverage for 27-year-old could range from $17 to $347.
