Catholic health association says it can live with HHS mandate

The Catholic Health Association (CHA) has issued a memorandum to its members on Tuesday stating that it is comfortable with the compromise in the final rule of the contraception mandate ordered by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Essentially, the CHA is satisfied with the series of provisions carved out of the mandate that allow catholic institutions to circumvent paying for contraception for their employees by shifting the costs to insurers.
