The baby boomers came of age during the Age of Aquarius and now are entering their retirement years. At 78 million strong, they are a huge portion of the population, that grew up in an age of financial certainty and rising standards, but when the financial crisis of 2008 kicked in, they took a hard hit from which many never recovered. Their nest eggs much reduced or destroyed altogether, this generation is learning the hard way that they have to re-learn everything.
