The IRS has announced that its “Where’s My Refund” tool on IRS.gov and the IRS2go app may be unavailable at times this tax season because taxpayers are using it so heavily. Since tax season kicked off on Jan. 30, the IRS’s system has been overtaxed (*snicker*) because people keep checking on their status updates multiple times a day. The IRS notes that speed-dialing for their refunds won’t make them process any faster, and that the best time to check is on evenings and weekends.
