The Fast Company annual Most Innovative Companies list is out again, representing the breadth of innovation in our economy. It reflects that in today’s business world, continuing adaptation, speedy change and ambition are all key requisites for companies that aspire to shake the world with its success. But forget about finding Facebook or Twitter on this list; neither produced any products worth celebrating in 2012. And forget about finding any insurance companies, either. There are a handful of financial services firms, but all are either dedicated toward broad risk analysis, or some form of banking. Alas.
