A new telephone survey conducted by the Pew Research Center has found that more than half of mobile application users have uninstalled or avoided certain apps because of privacy concerns. According to the survey, 54% of app users decided not to install an app once they discovered the amount of personal information they’d have to share in order to use it. Others (30% of app users) reported uninstalling an app after finding out it was collecting personal information they didn’t want to share.
