Paul Ryan’s proposal to radically overhaul Medicare has apparently not swayed a majority of seniors against the Wisconsin congressman. According to a recent poll, 50% of seniors view Mitt Romney’s running mate favorably, compared to 41% for the entire population. Why are the “Mediscare” tactics falling flat? According to several political observers, seniors don’t believe Ryan’s program would affect them if they are over the age of 55 or that his proposal would actually cut Medicare. Experts, however, dispute those views. Seniors also just plain like the clean-cut, 42-year-old.
