Great leaders have great followers. Great followers follow by leading. These followers no longer wait for a leader to tell them what to do, they tell the leader what they think should be done. These followers anticipate, show compassion and loyalty, and are fiercely loyal. They are goal-driven, but use future goals to prioritize what they are doing each day. Great followers make earning their leader’s trust a top priority because they know the sooner the boss trusts them, the sooner the boss is free to spend his valuable time worrying about something else. It should come as no surprise that the traits that make a great follower are the same traits that make a great leader.
