The commotion generated by the Supreme Court hearing arguments on the health reform law next week will resemble the frenzy of a rock ‘n’ roll concert. Lawmakers and interest groups plan to stage protests and events outside the court nearly nonstop. Supreme Court public information officer Kathleen Arberg says the court’s police force is prepared to handle massive crowds. As for witnessing the historic event first-hand – space inside the chamber is so limited that some of the attorneys who worked on briefs in the case won’t get a seat. A public now accustomed to instantaneous coverage will be frustrated. No electronic devices are allowed in the chamber, which means there will be no tweeting. The justices denied a special request for video coverage, but the court will release same-day audio recordings of the arguments.
