The Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) has promoted Stephen P. Stahr, CAE, to chief executive officer.
Stahr joined MDRT in 1990 as a public relations coordinator and was appointed public relations director in 1997. In 2007, he became managing director and, in 2010, chief operating officer.
Stahr holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Illinois Springfield and both an M.B.A. and a master’s in nonprofit and association management from the University of Maryland. In 2009, he was awarded the John C. Thiel Distinguished Service Award from the Association Forum of Chicagoland.
“Steve Stahr embodies the ideals of education, innovation and service that lie at the heart of MDRT’s mission,” says Jennifer A. Borislow, CLU, MDRT president. “Steve follows in a tradition of great MDRT chief executive officers who have made a significant mark both on MDRT and the greater industry. The executive committee is confident that Steve is the right person to lead MDRT in today’s rapidly changing environment.”
