Thomas Finnegan to Lead ASPPA

Thomas Finnegan is the new president of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA).

ASPPA, Reston, Va., represents about 7,400 pension and retirement plan professionals.

Finnegan is a principal at the Savitz Organization Inc., Philadelphia.

He is on the board of the American Academy of Actuaries, Washington, and he received the ASPPA Educator's Award in 2008.

He has a bachelor's degree in mathematics from St. Joseph's University.

The other 2010-2011 ASPPA officers are Robert Richter, president-elect; Barry Max Levy, senior vice president; Kyla Keck, vice president; Robert Long, vice president; David Lipkin, treasurer; Adam Pozek, secretary; and Sheldon Smith, immediate past president.
