Thomas Finnegan is the new president of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA).
ASPPA, Reston, Va., represents about 7,400 pension and retirement plan professionals.
Finnegan is a principal at the Savitz Organization Inc., Philadelphia.
He is on the board of the American Academy of Actuaries, Washington, and he received the ASPPA Educator’s Award in 2008.
He has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from St. Joseph’s University.
The other 2010-2011 ASPPA officers are Robert Richter, president-elect; Barry Max Levy, senior vice president; Kyla Keck, vice president; Robert Long, vice president; David Lipkin, treasurer; Adam Pozek, secretary; and Sheldon Smith, immediate past president.
