The Life and Health Foundation for Education has launched a new Facebook application and contest for Life Insurance Awareness Month (LIAM), which began Sept.1.

Available through LIFE’s Facebook fan page, the “What Matters Most to Me” application lets consumers create multimedia slideshows that showcase the most important people in their lives, while reminding them about the role life insurance plays in protecting their loved ones.

Individuals who create and post a slideshow on Facebook through Sept. 30, are eligible to win a five-day trip for two to Aruba, says LIFE, Arlington, Va. Additionally, each time someone indicates that he or she “likes” a friend’s slideshow, LIFE will donate $1 to Comfort Zone Camp, a bereavement camp serving children who have suffered the loss of a parent, sibling or primary caregiver.
