The Washington Group names Tony Stanley chief development officer

The Washington Group of Northwestern Mutual, McLean, Va., has announced that it has appointed Tony Stanley as Chief Development Officer, a new position. In this role, Stanley will oversee horizontal growth, strategic market penetration and leadership development.

“I am extremely excited to serve as The Washington Group’s Chief Development Officer. I am very passionate about recruiting and development — it is the backbone of our organization,” Stanley says. “This gives me the opportunity to impact the lives of current and future financial representatives by helping them see and achieve their full potential.”

For the past eight years, Stanley has worked at The Washington Group, first as a financial representative, then as a field director. Three years ago, he became managing director of The Loudoun Financial Group in Leesburg, which is a district network office of The Washington Group.
