Aflac Links Ad To Toy Story 3

Disney*Pixar has helped create the 50th Aflac Duck television commercial.

Aflac Inc., Columbus, Ga. (NYSE:AFL), is running a commercial that combines the company’s spokesfowl with Toy Story characters such as Woody and Buzz Lightyear.

Disney*Pixar, a unit of the Walt Disney Company, Los Angeles (NYSE:DIS), plans to open the newest movie in the series, Toy Story 3, June 18.

The Aflac Duck-Toy Story ad will promote the concept that Aflac is there to help people when they need it most, Aflac says.

In addition to the television commercial, the Aflac-Toy Story campaign will include print ads, Web ads, in-theater ads, social media marketing, a sweepstakes, and a Toy Story 3 theme for a NASCAR car that Aflac is backing in a race set to take place June 20.

Aflac also is backing a Toy Story 3 screening for the children at the Aflac Cancer Center in Atlanta.
