Aflac Pursues Smaller Employers

Your article was successfully shared with the contacts you provided.

Aflac Inc. is now offering voluntary group benefits to companies with as few as 100 employees.

The move into the small employer market follows Aflac’s recent acquisition of group benefits provider Continental American Insurance Company, now operating under the Aflac brand. Aflac, Columbus, Ga., says the acquisition allows it to offer both individual and group plans to a wider range of employers.

With the expansion, the company is offering smaller employers its lineup of group and individual voluntary insurance plans, including accident, critical illness, disability and life insurance, as well as such services as cafeteria plans, retirement plans, employee enrollment and benefits administration, the company says.
