Thomson Reuters announced Wednesday night, March 24, its winners of the 2010 U.S. Lipper Fund Awards, with T. Rowe Price being named Best Overall Fund in the large group category and RidgeWorth Funds gaining honors as the Best Overall Fund in the small group.
In a ceremony in New York, T. Rowe Price was the big winner of the night, grabbing 26 total awards, with Fidelity following with 15. BlackRock took home the third most with 12 awards.
The other group winners were Loomis Sayles & Co. for Best Bond Fund, Large Group; State Farm for Best Bond Fund, Small Group; PIMCO for Best Equity Fund, Large Group; Parnassus Investments for Best Equity Fund, Small Group; Janus for Best Mixed-Assets, Large Group; and RidgeWorth for Best Mixed-Assets, Small Group.
According to Tom Roseen, Lipper’s research manager for the United States and Latin America at Thomson Reuters, Lipper awarded the firms that consistently delivered “strong risk-adjusted performance.”
