In response to a strong pipeline of new business opportunities, MassMutual’s Retirement Services Division, Springfield, Mass., has added Dan Caple to its sales team in the South/Central Division. Caple has joined MassMutual as managing director, reporting to George Sutherland, South/Central divisional sales manager.

Caple is responsible for business development and sales support of MassMutual’s third-party and dedicated distribution channels in North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. He spent 19 years with Putnam Investments, most recently as senior vice president and senior regional 401(k) director for the company’s northeast territory.

“MassMutual has a tremendous pipeline of new business opportunities and we will continue to build out our sales team to meet the needs of advisors and their clients,” says Hugh O’Toole, senior vice president and head of sales and client management for MassMutual’s Retirement Services Division.

“Dan has achieved outstanding success in helping retirement plan advisors achieve their growth objectives,” adds Sutherland. “His deep experience and skill set will be of tremendous value to all of our distribution channel relationships in North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.”

Caple is based in Charlotte, N.C. and can be reached at (704)458-8685 or [email protected].
