What are boomers doing online? According to a recent survey by Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing, 93 percent of boomers use the Internet for e-mail and 73 percent go online to read the news. Over 70 percent shop online and two-thirds use the Internet to pay their bills. A much smaller percentage – 39 percent – use social media sites, forums or chat rooms.

Other findings show nearly half of boomers text, and 58 percent subscribe to cable TV series.
