Stable value funds and streamlining of retirement plan disclosures are on the agenda for the next meeting of the Advisory Council on Employee Welfare and Pension Benefit Plans.

The “ERISA Advisory Council” and its working groups will hold a teleconference meeting Sept. 29.

The council has heard heated testimony in recent months about how safe stable value funds really are during harsh economic downturns, whether fund disclosures are adequate, and whether federal regulators were wise to keep retirement plan sponsors from using stable value funds as default investment options.

More information about the upcoming meeting is available here.
