A Midwestern state says it will be accepting product rate, rule and form filings only through the System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing.

The Ohio Department of Insurance says it will require insurers to submit all filings through SERFF after Dec. 31, 2009. Insurers already submit 97% of their filings through SERFF, and the Ohio department is willing to consider requests for SERFF filing hardship exemptions, department officials say.
