Health Systems International L.L.C. can help health plans comply with Medicare coordination reporting requirements.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services set the requirements in August 2008, in an effort to cut the cost of paying for care for Medicare enrollees who are eligible for workers’ compensation benefits.

The provision requires “responsible reporting entities” to submit information about work-related injury claims involving Medicare beneficiaries on a quarterly basis, according to Health Systems International, Indianapolis.
