A life settlement provider is marketing a system to fund managers that will let fund managers aggregate insurance policies by size, type and performance characteristics such as projected rate of return.

The system, offered by the Lifeline Program unit of Wm. Page & Associates Inc., Atlanta, will make it easier for institutional investors to create customized settlement policy pools, says William Scott Page, the company’s president.

The system can reduce the need to verify that a policyholder had insurable interest at the time the policy was issued, an important legal issue in many jurisdictions, Page says.
