A software company has released a new version of a system used by many self-funded health plans and independent benefit plan administrators.

TriZetto Group Inc., Newport Beach, Calif., has announced the general release of the QicLink Extended Enterprise 4.10 system.

TriZetto began making the system available to health plans that let TriZetto host the software in June.

Like earlier versions of the system, the new QicLink system can automate and manage enrollment, customer service, claims adjudication, billing and accounts receivable, and re-pricing and payment processes, TriZetto says.

The newest version uses the Microsoft .NET framework, which can help users hook the TriZetto software up to other software systems developed by other companies, TriZetto says.
