The good news for independent broker/dealers? The overwhelming majority of reps surveyed in the annual Broker/Dealer of the Year voting are quite happy, thank you, with their current affiliation. The better news for the independent B/Ds listed below is that if those otherwise happy reps were to change their affiliation, they would come to you. Following are the firms most often cited, by percent of all firms listed, in the open-ended question on the ballot that more than 500 reps took the time to answer, “If you were to affiliate with another broker/dealer, which would it be?”
LPL Financial: 24.3%
Commonwealth Financial Network: 9.5%
