The Society of Financial Service Professionals has lowered dues for students and professors.

The FSP, Newtown Square, Pa., says undergraduate and graduate students now can join the national organization at a rate equal to 12.5% of the regular dues, or $29.50 per year.

Full-time professors can join for 50% of the regular national dues rate, or $118 per year, the FSP says.

The FSP also is encouraging local affiliates to offer students and full-time professors similar dues discounts.

In addition to networking opportunities, the academic membership categories give users access to Web-based research tools, Internet discussion groups and a library of educational Webcasts, the FSP says.
