An insurer and a plan administrator are joining to sell employers a package of post-retirement benefits and plan administration services.
CIGNA Senior & Retiree Services, Bloomfield, Conn., a unit of CIGNA Corp., is forming the alliance with Marsh ConsumerConnexions, an arm of Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc., New York.
The program will combine CIGNA retiree benefit plans with Marsh administration and communications services, the companies say.
Marsh will handle telephone and Web communications.
The companies say they will charge a per-retiree administrative fee and typically will not charge an up-front implementation fee or maintenance fee.
