Hotel Chain Joins Medical Tourism Initiative

InterContinental Hotels Group P.L.C. has agreed to work with the Medical Tourism Association to help patients with the logistics of getting health care in Latin America.

InterContinental, London, will help the MTA, West Palm Beach, Fla., and MTA members arrange for airport transportation, transportation to and from medical facilities, hotel rooms and other amenities, according to the MTA.

The doctors and hospitals participating in the program are in countries such as Brazil, Costa Rica, Mexico and Panama.

The InterContinental hotels used in the program could include the company’s Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites hotels as well as hotels in the InterContinental chain, the MTA says.
