The National Insurance Producer Registry says it has processed more than 170,000 address change request transactions since it started up last summer.
NIPR, Kansas City, Mo., is affiliated with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, Kansas City.
The District of Columbia and 44 states now offer the NIPR address change request feature, NIPR says.
States that do not yet offer an ACR function include Florida, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana and West Virginia, NIPR says.
The remaining states will get the ACR function by June 30, NIPR says.
Producers can submit ACRs only after changes take effect, and, at this point, they cannot submit changes for firms or agencies, NIPR reports.
