Principal Adds Discounts

An insurer is appealing to employers with new benefits for employees’ ears and abs.

The Principal Financial Group Inc., Des Moines, Iowa, says it will be offering discounts on digital hearing aids through a discount program alliance with American Hearing Benefits Inc., Eden Prairie, Minn.

The hearing aid discount program also will offer access to free annual hearing screenings for members, spouses, children, parents and grandparents and a 2-year extended warranty with the purchase of any covered digital hearing aid.

The hearing discount program is available to employees covered under any Principal group program, including wellness, disability, life and dental plans as well as health and vision plans, Principal says.

Principal also is offering a preferred pricing fitness club arrangement with International Fitness Club Network, Coventry, R.I.

The program will offer Principal plan members the lowest rate for the type of membership selected along with discounts on home fitness equipment, Principal says.
