It would seem that reps participating in this year’s survey are for the most part pretty satisfied with the products and services that their B/Ds offer. When given the opportunity, only 481 (8.3%) participating reps had a suggestion for something their B/D doesn’t currently offer.

Of those reps looking for something more, better technology support (5.4%) headed up the wish list. The big surprise was that access to life settlements, an item which didn’t figure at all in responses to past surveys, was the second most frequently mentioned item (4.6%).

The other desired products and services were: self-clearing; health insurance; access to IPOs; consolidated statements; and another newcomer to the list–futures trading.–
