The South Dakota Division of Insurance is telling insurers to stop sending rate and form filings in on paper.

Insurers that continue to use paper submissions should call the managers of the System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing, Kansas City, Mo., and sign up to use that electronic filing system, South Dakota officials say in Bulletin 07-01.

The electronic-only rules will take effect May 1.

Starting on that date, the South Dakota division “will no longer be accepting paper filings of any kind,” officials say.
