The Financial Literacy and Education Commission is asking members of the public for ideas about ways to improve financial education for kindergarten through postsecondary students.

Congress created the commission when it enacted the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003.

The request for comment includes a question asking about the role of private-sector companies in youth financial education.

Comments are due April 12.
