Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Company is promoting a new Web-based enrollment system.

The new Harmony enrollment system uses a centralized database to provide daily employee reports for employers, an online benefits library, online benefits statements, salary illustrations, and a variety of other tools and services, according to Colonial, a unit of UnumProvident Corp., Chattanooga, Tenn.

The daily reporting tool can show the number and percentage of employees enrolled in benefits programs, employee product elections, product penetration, product mix, and enrollment results by company location or classification, Colonial says.

The system can handle enrollment and communication for “mandatory benefits,” such as group health plans, as well as voluntary, employee-paid benefits, Colonial says.
