An insurer has introduced 3 flexible-premium deferred annuities designed for 457(b) plans.
Aviva Life Insurance Company, North Quincy, Mass., says the new annuities are the Flex 9, Aviva Flex Select and Aviva Flex Plus products.
Aviva, a unit of Aviva P.L.C., London, expects to release 2 indexed annuities aimed at the 457(b) plan market between April 1 and June 30.
Typical 457(b) program participants are administrators, principals, supervisors and other public employees who contribute the maximum amount to their 403(b) plans or 401(a) plans or have a spouse with no access to a tax-deferred savings plan.
