A national health carrier is marketing high-deductible plans to more midsize Midwestern and East Coast employers.[@@]
The carrier, CIGNA HealthCare, has started selling health savings account-compatible plans to employers with 51 to 200 employees in the District of Columbia and 7 states: Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri and Virginia.
In the past, the company sold HSA-compatible plans in those markets only to employers with at least 200 employees.
