Stag To Return Saturday

Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford, says its famous spokesdeer will appear in the first of 2 new television commercials Saturday.[@@]

The commercial will put the Hartford Stag together with John Wooden, a legendary, 94-year-old basketball coach, during National Collegiate Athletic Association men’s basketball coverage.

Wooden is famous for leading the University of California at Los Angeles basketball team to an 88-game winning streak and 10 NCCA men’s basketball championships.

The Stag will walk down a trophy-lined corridor as Wooden talks about winning with integrity, Hartford says.

In a second commercial, the Stag will visit the New York Stock Exchange.

In addition to running during NCAA basketball coverage on CBS, the ads will appear on several other cable and news networks, including CNN and Bravo.

The commercials were developed by Campbell Mithun, Minneapolis.
