ConnectedCare L.L.C., Baltimore, is jumping into the market for software systems that can help employers run account-based health plans.[@@]
The company’s new communications and administration system, which is “carrier-independent,” can help employers with flexible spending accounts, health reimbursement arrangements and the new health savings accounts, ConnectedCare says.
The system includes tools and databases to help plan members shop for care and manage their personal health accounts.
The system also comes with an enrollment tool, an online drugstore and links to a debit card payment system.
Another feature is a package of advocacy services, to help employees who have a tough time resolving health issues.
