Bank Annuity Sales Fall 9%

Total bank annuity sales fell to $4.1 billion in May, down 9% from the May 2003 total.[@@]

Kenneth Kehrer Associates, Princeton, N.J., has published those statistics in its latest monthly report on the bank annuity market.

Bank fixed annuity sales increased to $2.8 billion, up from $2.7 billion in May 2003, but bank variable annuity sales fell to $1.3 billion, from $1.8 billion.
