NU Online News Service, April 16, 2004, 3:48 p.m. EDT – Pan-American Life Insurance Company today hosted a conference on technology and homeland security at its headquarters in New Orleans.[@@]

The speakers included Admiral James Loy, deputy secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and Randy Null, director of the Transportation Security Administration.

The Louisiana Technology Council organized the event.

“We continue to believe Louisiana should play an important role in the Homeland Security for this country,” Pan-American Chairman John Kelly says in a statement about the event. “Pan-American Life is proud to support this event as the security of our country not only affects our state but also our employees, policy owners and business partners.”
